Wisdom Wednesdays

"Let your past make you bettter, not bitter."

I absolutely love this quote because I am the type of person that can sometimes dwell on things that have happened in the past, and most of the time they end up putting me in a bad mood.  So thinking of this helps bring me back to the present and it acts as a reminder to LEARN from the past and move on. (:

What does this quote mean to you?

TAG!: Would You Rather...

QUESTIONS:
1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
Ahhh! I hope I never actually have to choose between the two but if I realllly had to, I would give up my mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses. :(
2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again? Never be able to cut it again!
3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek? Pink because I think its just flirty and fun!
4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup? Definitely clothes!
5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick? Eyeliner as lipstick beacuse you would still be able to line and define your lips easily!
6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora? Sephora because then I have a TON of different products to pick from!
7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life? One lip color because I constantly LOVE changing up my eye looks and using a variety of different colors!
8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter? Winter clothes in summer because I cant stand being cold!  Plus you can still get away with wearing boots in the summer! ;)
9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round? Bright nails since they are always so fun and girly!
10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product? Favorite lip product.
11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun? Messy bun!
12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss? Never use lipgloss!  I ALWAYS have to have my nails painted or else I just feel like my outfits will never be complete!
13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday? I dont think I can live without eyebrows! So I would have to say that I would actually Shaprie them in! haha :D
14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish? Nail polish!

Beauty on a Budget!

If you’re a makeup lover like I am then you can relate to how expensive acquiring a decent collection can be!  Now-a-days even drugstore makeup prices have been creeping up!  But all hope is not lost for there are quite a few things you can do to save money and still score the products you love!  Keep reading to find out how!

Check the sales paper each week especially for drugstores, since almost every weekend they run sales on various makeup brands.  The sales can range from BOGO (buy one get one free), to buy one and get the other item for half off!  Or sometimes they will just have $1-$3 a particular product.

Cut out coupons for even greater savings.  You can find coupons online or in the Sunday paper (at least where I live).  A lot of stores will accept coupons even when an item is on sale.  The best places to do this are at your local drugstore.  For example if a product is on sale and its BOGO you can still apply a coupon to that product.  The most exciting part is if you have TWO coupons for the brand on makeup that you’re buying, since your still technically buying two products (even though one is free) you can use both coupons! YAY!

Join e-mailing lists for your favorite stores.  A lot of companies will send out e-mails that contain special coupons or access to limited “secret sales” which offer up the chance to score some good deals!

Sign up for reward programs since a lot of them offer great perks! Perks can include additional savings on products that aren’t available to non-reward members, or special gifts that you can “purchase” with the reward points that you have accrued ( Sephoras Beauty insider program is a perfect example of this
I hope you all found this post to be helpful! If you have any additional money saving tips or tircks, comment and then me know! Thanks for reading! :D
Stay beatuiful,
